Those who don't read good books have no advantage
over those who can't.

                                                                               -Mark Twain

I am living proof it’s never too late for impossible dreams to come true. For nearly thirty years I had chosen to be “just a mom.” Always my first priority, I built my world around my family. I drove my children to and from school every day, patrolled every evening as Homework Sheriff, and welcomed their friends into our home. Then, late at night, I rewarded myself with some time for reading.

As my children grew, I began to understand that I could do more for them than just help provide what they needed to pursue their dreams. I felt a compulsion to show them I could work hard to attain a dream or two of my own. An intimidating opportunity fell across my path in Spring 2007. It was so huge I could neither walk around it, climb over it, nor turn around and ignore it. I was offered the chance to write a nonfiction narrative about the life, career, and compassionate faith ministry of Issam Nemeh, M.D.

Author Noela Evans wrote:  "Challenge is a dragon with a gift in its mouth. Tame the dragon and the gift is yours." Here was my dragon. I named it Miracles Every Day. Sentence by sentence, I tamed that dragon. In the process, I was showered with gorgeous, glittering gifts of the mind, heart, and spirit.
