2/1/11: The Dr. Oz Show Features Dr. Nemeh

Tuesday, 1 February 2011, Dr. Mehmet Oz will introduce to the nation Dr. Issam Nemeh, who is the subject of my book Miracles Every Day. You will not want to miss this episode of Dr. Oz's television show, for you will be finally able to see and hear from a man whose faith has connected thousands and thousands of individuals with miracles and healings that defy medical explanation. It is an important story because it is an authentic one. I could not be more pleased that Dr. Oz is breaking this story to a national audience.

The broadcast will show scenes from Dr. Nemeh's daily routine. A crew of five cameramen and a producer came to Ohio to capture video footage of Dr. Nemeh at home, in his office treating patients, and at a healing service.

Dr. Nemeh also joined Dr. Oz in his television studios at the Rockefeller Center in New York City. The two physicians chatted as the cameras rolled. Dr. Oz also interviewed a couple of Dr. Nemeh's patients and their physicians, who testified that medicine alone cannot account for their miracles.

Set up your recording system. You'll want to have this one on tape.

After you have viewed the broadcast, I'd love to hear from you. Does Dr. Nemeh match the person you imagined as you were reading Miracles Every Day? Does he sound like you thought he would? Is he all that I described--or maybe more? Write to me and tell me what you think.

    Maura,
I was so excited to hear that Dr. Nemeh would be on the Dr. OZ show--especially on 1-11-11.  I have viewed many of the interviews and youtube videos and have seen and Experienced Dr. Nemeh for myself, but will be eager to see him in front of a Nationally televised audience. I think that this particular interview will be a pivotal point for Dr. Nemeh. I hope I'll get to see him again.

I was very intrigued with Dr. Nemeh after seeing him on Dr. Oz.  After a little research, I'm curious as to why he would charge for a healing service.  This doesn't seem Christ-like at all.  I do understand charging for a medical appointment.  Unfortunately, this just adds to my personal belief that people who make these claims are in it for the money.  Is this another Benny Hinn in the making?

I am in the process of reading miracles every day  -  my husband is in the hospital now for 4 months - he has a rare snydrome (less than 1% of people get) associated with lung cancer -  i would do ANYTHING if i could get Dr Nemeh to come and pray over him - it would be impossible to get my husband to him - if you have any suggestions or could ask Dr Nemeh what I could do I would appreciate it from the bottom of my heart - I have said and have many people praying for him - he is on every prayer list - I ask everyone to light a candle for him in the church they go to - I have never prayed so much in my life - He means so much to so many people and to see him with this awful snydrome (which affects your brain ) devestates us all.  I bless him every day with holy water, Lourdes water and pray over him and for him constantly.  Maybe you could get this message to the doctor and he can feel something thru my words.  I would pay anything for him to visit us in the hospital.  Thank you so much for listening!!!!

    Dear Betty:
I'm so sorry for your husband's illness, and for your poor worried heart.

Dr. Nemeh always begins his prayer with "Come, Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ . . ." and I explain why in my book (page 15). From my own experience and from what I have seen in writing Miracles Every Day, there is wisdom in this approach. I recommend it to you.

That having been said, I can also give you Dr. Nemeh's office number and encourage you to call and ask if Dr. Nemeh can pray over your husband's photograph or even, possibly, over the telephone.

Dr. Nemeh's office number is:  440.331.4700.

The power of prayer is unlimited, of that I am sure. However, there is another piece of this:
    ...Thy will be done...

Thank you for writing. Please stay in touch by emailing me at Maura@MauraZ.com.

    Adding my prayers to yours,
    maura

    Dear Tracy:
You raise valid questions. I will try to answer them.

From the time of Dr. Nemeh's very first public prayer and continuing for a decade, there were no charges to attend a public healing service. This is because all the services were held on the premises of various churches. A congregation invited Dr. Nemeh to come and pray, announcements were made via bulletins and newsletters, and volunteers geared up to welcome anywhere from five hundred to several thousand people to their church. Issam and Kathy Nemeh were guests of the congregation and were not charged anything to be there.

Also during the first ten years, when a congregation did not offer dinner for Path to Faith volunteers, church workers, priests, and the Nemehs, Kathy and some of her friends would buy, cook, and bring a buffet dinner for everyone involved. Kathy bore the burden of those food and paper goods expenses.

During 2010, however, the Nemehs began renting different locations for the afternoon and evening. They rented facilities at, for example, St. Joseph Academy in West Park, Ohio and Church on the Rise in Westlake, Ohio. These rentals are very expensive, especially when the administrators insist that the Nemehs utilize their kitchens and catering for the refreshments typically offered throughout the day.

Furthermore, Dr. Nemeh explained to me that they had reached a point at which he was traveling to many out of state locations. For ten years all of his volunteers paid their own expenses no matter where they went. But last year Dr. Nemeh insisted on paying for their meals and hotel rooms. He said he could not ask everyone to continue to pay for these expenses. From my perspective, I believe that these volunteers would be there whether or not Dr. Nemeh picked up the tab, so privileged do they feel to be able to be part of the Nemeh ministry, but I could be wrong.

It has also become impossible for Kathy to keep up the cooking that she had been doing. Now that they eat out at a restaurant or have food brought in, dinners are no longer the production that they had been for so many years.

I agree:  there ought never be a charge for prayer. It's just wrong.

From what I have observed, the Nemeh ministry is definitely not another Benny Hinn scam in the making.

    Thank you for writing.

    Hi Maura,
I am so happy that finally Dr.Nemeh is nationally recognized for his remarkable results in his work as a doctor, his Ministry Path to Faith and as a researcher benefiting the humanity.
I attend regularly since 2007 his Healing Services and received numerous beautiful healings on all levels...the most important I consider to be, are the spiritual & emotional healings I was blessed with.
At his Healing Services, when I am prayed over by Dr.Nemeh & Kathy I experience the Divine unconditional love, God's love for me, the connection, the peace, the stillness, His compassion for me...I totally surrender to the will of God.
I came to realize that we are spiritual beings who have a physical experience here on Earth, that we came to experience, learn and then apply unconditional LOVE, compassion and empathy towards other human beings...that we are here to serve God, Jesus & humanity...that all the experiences we go through, good or bad, are life lessons for our souls...
I have reached Inner Peace...I feel my whole being full of Gratitude and immense Love towards Divinity...
I encourage all my friends, relatives, acquaintances to go to at least one Healing Service to experience for themselves the unconditional LOVE, peace and stillness.
And your book Miracles Every Day is incredible amazing! I did gift it to so many friends & relatives...their souls have been deeply touched by it's  wonderful message of unconditional LOVE, unshakable faith and hope...
Looking forward to seeing Dr.Nemeh on Dr.Oz's show on February 1st, 2011.
    Love, Valentina

In viewing the show today the very important matter the DR. left out was the
explation of how he is able to heal. He should have used scriptures that pointed out
how GOD uses His chossen one as He used the Apostols to help others.
    Related scriptures are,  Acts2:1to4, Acts2:16to19,
John13:35, John14:10&12,  James5:14to15 and last but not least
Isiah53:5.    In John 14:12  Jesus states that we will do the same as HE did
but greater than He did.  Reference ( King James Life Application by Tyndale).
GOD is the same today as HE was yesterday, He never changes I know this for a fact
because I am one of HIS chosen one. Those of you who studies the word no this is true,
if you are not studying as you should today is a good day to start. Using a good study
bible will help to get better understanding.
A humble Servent of the LORD!

I watched the show with amazement - does anyone know how I can get a hold of the Dr. - either by e-mail or by calling
  • Maura ZAGRANS 2/1/2011 12:00:00 AM

Dear Anne: The doctor has two Web sites that serve distinct purposes. The first,  www.drnemeh.com, is the site to visit to make an appointment and to learn more about his medical practice. The second, www.pathtofaith.com, contains the postings with information about public healing services and other events.

The telephone number for Dr. Nemeh's medical practice is:  440.331.4700.

    Thank you for writing.

  • Maura 2/1/2011 12:00:00 AM

Dear Doris:  As I learned from my experience of being a participant in one of Oprah's Book Club projects, guests of trusted national shows have little, if any, influence over any part of the broadcast. Of course, I think that is an asset because viewers are entitled to informative, unbiased, and objective journalism. This is what they get when guests are not allowed to influence either the content, the filming, the questions asked, and the editing of the program.

The point here is that Dr. Nemeh's role on Dr. Oz's Show is well defined. He is the guest, not the host. As such, he follows the lead of Dr. Oz.

He had no idea what Dr. Oz would ask him. He had no idea how the producers would present the wealth of video and interview material--how they would slant their presentation. Obviously, Dr. Oz had no desire to get into a Bible study with his presentation. I would guess that Dr. Oz wishes to keep the discussion as open as possible so that people of every religious (or non-religious) persuasion can enter into the dialogue. He stated that he wanted to "open the door" and I think he chose the right person with whom to pass through that door.

That being said, I would like to tell you that Dr. Nemeh can hold his own in a room filled with Bible scholars.

    Thank you for writing,

    maura

Great introduction to Dr. Nemeh it has encouraged me to look up and find out more about Dr. Nemeh and pass this info on to friends who might gain by reading and knowing about this man of God.

Dear Dolores:  Thank you for writing.

I would encourage everyone who would like to hear more about Dr. Nemeh to check my blog for the radio interview that was conducted by Amy Miller of Vermont. It's an in-depth interview that I think you will enjoy.

I wonder if Dr. Nemeh is a scam since he charges for people to go to his meetings! I know they talk about all their costs and those that help them having to pay them but Jesus never charged AND if people were so dedicated to the suffering of others would not they volunteer their time? Also, some very serious questions are emailed to them with them never replying to the email. I know they are busy but they would find time if they really cared about the suffering of others especially when it's someone the doctors can not help!! I am not talking about if Jesus heals or not now but I am talking about if Dr. Nemeh really has the gift of healing!! People have been known to fake something and then claim to be healed which I don't know that is the case with Dr. Nemeh or not. Maybe he replies to just certain people. I don't know.

It could be arranged ahead of time that there would have to be others doing the cooking, providing food, etc. but to charge to get prayed for? I think it's wrong! They might say no one is denied being prayed for that goes but someone is not going to take that chance traveling especially when so sick to not know FOR SURE they would get prayed for when they got there especially when it's advertised there is a charge!
  • Maura 6/9/2011 12:00:00 AM

    Dear Guest:
I have heard similar concerns from many others. I wish I were in a position to provide answers to your questions, but I am not. Although I had superb access to Dr. Nemeh and members of his ministry during the years that I was writing my book, I am not a member of the ministry, and I have no influence regarding the administrative processes of Path to Faith.

Ticket entrance fees were not charged during the first ten years of Dr. Nemeh's public prayer ministry, which is the period of time chronicled in Miracles Every Day. Questions about the present day ministry are more properly handled by a spokesperson for Path to Faith and by the Nemehs than by me.

I forwarded your message to Kathy Nemeh. She wrote back that she tries to respond to every note and letter, and regrets that yours was unanswered. She asked that I urge you to contact them again.

I am so sorry for your pain and obvious disappointment. I do know that prayers are always heard, and that a journey made in faith is a journey that leads to blessings. I will include you in my personal prayers, asking that your suffering, whatever it may be, is relieved by the healing power of the Holy Spirit. When that day arrives, please drop me a line and let me know that your journey has led you to happier, healthier times.

May God bless you and yours--

I really enjoyed Miracles everyday.  I reread the book several times.  What a wondeful person Dr. Nemeh and hisfamily are.

I wondered if you might know the exact date in November that Dr. Nemeh will be on a show and the station?
